I am VERY happy to say that I soon can launch my new website and blog! It hasn't gone live yet, but it will shortly and during 2010 I have sooo many great experiences I want to share with you! Mina and Sumit had their first of three wedding celebrations today and I have had a long but really great day. The portait session at 7.30 am was by far the earliest one I have done but for this wedding couple I can do anything! Wedding invitations

It is sooo nice to get wedding invitations from a bride and groom to be, because it really makes me feel like I am part of their day. So, when I opened my mail and found these invitions from Mina and Sumit I smiled. In a couple of weeks I will shoot their hindu wedding ceremony and civil wedding in Stockholm, and in June I will photograph them at Sardinia. I can't describe how much I look forward to both their wedding days!

Malin & Mathieu - A French Swedish Love Story

Do you want the recipe for a great wedding? Well, do just as Malin and Mathieu did! The ingredients are: family and friends from Sweden and France, a great hairdresser, a really cool place for the portraits and to stay (Hotell Hellsten), have rice mixed with lavender thrown at you after the ceremony, scented flowers in your hair and bouquet, pick a winter day when it's -10 degrees and snowing, choose a photographer equipped with tons of inspiration, have warm soup for the guests after the cold trip from the church and - I think this is a main ingredient :-) - talk your parents into dancing Thriller together with you in front of all other guests after dinner!

Malin's and Mathieu's wedding was quite a challenge because of almost six hour's of shooting indoors in practically no light, but at the same time I really enjoyed every minute because everything was perfect! Malin and Mathieu - you and your families are the BEST! I hope you looove the photos!

Last but not least, I want to say special thanks to my two angels of the day, Karolina Ehrenpil och Mattz Birath. They both assisted me during the day and Karolina and Mattz, you know how much I appreciate it!

I love the cold tone and I have for instance always preferred silver and white gold before red gold jewellery. I love colour. I love colour regardless of if it's pale, vivid, subtle, blazing, happy, cool, warm.... I think you get the point, I simply love colour! A couple of days ago I passed by CC store at Sturegallerian in Stockholm and saw (and bought :-)) these fantastic cream white shoes on sale (also in black)! The leather of these Italian designer shoes is super soft and - as an extra bonus - the heels make no sound at all. Despite the high heels they are actually also very comfortable so I think it would be the perfect choise for all fashion loving brides to be in 2010! Am I a bride to be? Oh, absolutely not, I am already married to the perfect man but I am addicted to shoes!

This great couple is starting out 2010 as husband and wife after having the perfect snowy winter wedding at -10 degrees the last day of 2009! We took the photos both at Grand Hôtel, where they stayed and had the reception, and outdoors just before the shy midvinter sun dropped behind the horizon. Anna wore a very glamouros gown from Garamaj and the colour and design couldn't be more perfect for her!

When I first met Sara I instantly knew the wedding would be something special. She was sooo sweet and when she spoke about HIM and their wedding I saw love in her eyes and how much she looked forward to become his wife. And, as a photographer, I was like a kid the night before christmas when she told me they should get married at Ekotemplet in Hagaparken with only a few close family and friend as guests. And, despite the small wedding party, she would wear a wedding dress from La Sposa and their rings were custom made and designed in Iran. Also, because Hagaparken is located just minutes from where I live Sara asked me if I knew a really good hairdresser and I was happy when I later heard she had followed my advise and booked the saloon where I use to go, Mohair.

Sara and Pejman, I honestly loooove your photos and your wedding ceremony was among the most romantic moments I have experienced as a wedding photographer so far! Enjoy this post and the album you're about to get shortly!

On Saturday night the sky was grey and rainy but when I woke up Sunday morning it was a perfect day for an outdoor family session! Fall is truly the best season for back lit portraits and the colours were amazing! But, after some biscuits we also had time to take some black and whites indoors.

Oscar - crying, sleeping, smiling!

To photograph a baby is a challenge every time because I never know in advance what will be on the agenda for the little model. Even if the parents have booked me it isn't as easy to book a perfect smile from a 3 month old baby. But yesterday, after some crying, whimpering and a 15 minutes nap Oscar gave us this absolutely infectious smile that made me melt! Anna and Christoffer, you have a really cute boy! But of course, that's probably no surprise for you because both of you also look drop dead gorgeous!

Anna Roström at SmallpigArt is a very good friend and she is also one of my favourite colleagues when it comes to wedding photography! About a month ago I assisted her at one of her weddings and I also acted as her second shoter. The bride and groom was simply gorgeous - just look at them, they look like perfect top models! Of course you can find Anna's great photos here on her blog! But don't you think Anna is even cuter than the wedding couple in her shaggy bright pink hat I gave to her that day so she will match her 70-200 lens during the winter weddings to come :-)! Unique wedding ring

I love white gold and diamonds and I love weddings, so what can be better than to come across a very unique and beautiful set of rings on a wedding shoot! I can't afford to buy jewellery every week (I wish!), but I do get to see a lot of beautiful things! These rings made my day last Saturday and they are hand made in Iran. I think they really are outstanding!

The short poem above and on the second photo was printed on the stamp Viktoria and Christoffer used when they sent the booking agreement to me before their wedding. I love the meaning of the words and for me it definately symbolizes the love and future of this couple. Yesterday was a great day because it was not only my birthday but also the wedding day for Sara and Daniel! They live in Uppsala but got married in the garden at Tyresö castle in the presence of their 99 guests. Jenny and Christer had booked my smallest package but just days before their wedding Jenny called and said they wanted to upgrade to the next level. I was thrilled because after our pre booking meeting last year I had actually written "I think this is a fun couple to shoot" as a special notice in my calender and I was absolutely right! They got married in Dalarö and we found a perfect spot for the portraits close to where they held their reception, Dalarö Hotel.

Euro Acciden t is an insurance company specialized in accident insurances and has many athletes and artists among their clients as well as companies and organizations. They also have two very well known stars to promote them and the extremly successful Carolina Kluft is one of them. I have been to many, many weddings by now but I don't think I ever have heard such heavenly music as yesterday at the chapel at Ulriksdal castle! Unfortunately I forgot to write down the names of the singers but I can say that it was the best version of the song Hallelujah ever performed! But of course... it also was the most beautiful chapel, very nice guests, a cool car for the bride and groom to ride in, old details (the ribbon wrapped around the bouquet and the purse were worn by the bride's grand mother at her wedding ages ago), the best venue with very photo friendly surroundings (Såstaholm Gård) and of course the perfect bride and groom! Katarina and Fredrik, you are great!

A few weeks ago I got an e-mail from one of my former clients Josefine and she told me that she recently has opended a new store for custom made wedding dresses, titanium rings and other accessories! Today I passed by the store at Torsgatan 36 in Stockholm (close to S:t Eriksplan) and had to take a few photos to show you and tell you the news. Friday 14 August was a busy yet very fantastic day and I got to photograph four persons very much in love. They came in pairs of course as I was booked for two weddings! Before I leave for today's wedding I want to share some goodies from yesterday!

Sara and Pejman - wedding couple no. 2 - had their civil wedding ceremony at Ekotemplet in Hagaparken and after a very rainy start to the portrait session the sky cleared just in time for a beautifully lit wedding in the evening sun. Don't they look fantastic!?

I headed to Krägga Herrgård for the first wedding of the day and I don't think anyone could miss that it really was Louise' and Saman's day even though it started to rain during the outdoor ceremony. But who cares, it was a perfect day anyway and suddenly in started to rain candy instead! Watch out for the hard ones :-)!

Mingyu & Mikael - love on the red carpet

On one of the hottest days this summer it was time for me to photograph Mingyu's (Ana's) and Mikael's wedding. I had great expectations and it turned out to be just the perfect day for a wedding photographer - a very nice and beautiful couple, a magnificent church, glorious weather and a four meter long veil. The ceremony was held in S:t Matteus church and the dinner at Näsby castle in Täby. All my wedding couples love each other and I love them all. Caroline and Martin were no exceptions and when you look at them I am sure you'll understand why! I promised to show them a few previews on the blog before they leave for their honeymoon but I can't just post a few photos when I have so much to choose from! They got married at Såstaholm, Smederna Lantz had made the gorgeous wedding ring and I just love the beautiful dress from Aspera by Alicja Eklöw. Ana & Mikael - the day before the wedding day

Yesterday I photographed a very beautiful bride and groom at Såstaholm Gård and on my way back home I stopped by Näsby slott to do some planning for today's wedding. When I got there I saw Ana and Mikael were actually also there for some preparations and from what I saw I know it will be a fantastic wedding today - the place, decorations and, of course, Ana and Mikael are great! Here are a few spontaneous photos from yesterday and I will of course also post the real wedding photos in a few days (plus the wedding couple from yesterday!).

Even though it is a bit unusual to shoot wedding portraits a Tuesday evening these photos surely prove that it isn't necessary to take the photos on the wedding day to get great shots! To all of you who weren't with us I can tell we were in mosquito land... on one of these photos Linda had 7 mosquitos sucking blood on her arm. To bad it isn't so easy to get rid of them in reality as it is in Photoshop! Linda and Björn, I hope you not only like these photos but love them, I surely do!

Sneak peak - bride & groom 2 months later

When she first e-mailed me a couple of weeks ago it was for a sad reason because she told me they weren't exactly happy with the photos from their hired wedding photographer. But, on the other hand, it gave them a perfect opportunity to dress up again and have a really fun photoshoot in the evening sun and they transformed a normal Tuesday night to a very special occasion. Here is a sneak peak, I just looove the feeling and I promise to post more photos later!

Soile

When she was five years old one of her neighbours was an old lady who lived in a big white house and she had a piano. Soile went over to her and asked if she could play the piano and the rest is history. Nowadays however, the guitar is her best friend (well almost, one shouldn't forget her husband Robin) and she is just about to release her first cd. I can't play any songs for you as they haven't been released yet, but I sure will later on! Her voice and her music are worth waiting for!

I spent my afternoon today with my cousin Araity and I couldn't refrain from taking some photos of her! For her it was a surprise (but not for me :-)!) and she wasn't prepared at all when I picked her up at the train station that she would be my guinea-pig for some test shots at a new location with beautiful natural light which I might use for an up coming job. But of course, you don't even need to prepare for a photo shoot when you look as gorgeous as she does! Emilia & Sören - the full post (part 2)

Emilia's and Sören's wedding day was one of those days when nothing could go wrong. Well sure, when we met Sören's coursage was lost, it started to rain cats and dogs both during the portrait session and right after the ceremony and it wasn't easy to decide whether the cermony should be held indoors or outdoors as planned, but nothing of this did really matter because it still was a perfect wedding! Emilia and Sören got married at Säby Säteri by my favourite wedding officer Tasso Stafilidis. He was the one I and my husband chosed for our wedding four years ago and he really knows how to make the ceremony both fun and very emotional. Emilia and Sören, I hope you have the time of your life at your honey moon!

Based on the photos I show here on my blog you might think I only do weddings, but that's not entirely true (even if that is what I mostly do - and love to do!). Some time ago I got a call from a dad who asked if I could photograph his son and I am glad I said yes! During the shoot I took these relaxed photos!

Medelia & Joakim - rainy passion

It started to rain shortly before their portrait session which meant we had to be creative. But I did't mind because I had of course been at the location about 50 minutes earlier to find a plan B just in case and it turned out to be a really fun and cool photo shoot! The indoor photos with the fantastic lightning are shot in Enskede church and the rest of the time we used a tunnel under Enskedevägen to get both funky and romantic photos. Aren't Medelia and Joakim the perfect romantic/cool couple! Just look at his cuff links!

Gabriella & Henrik - green is the new colour of love!

Gabriella loves green, she loves colour, she loves one of my favourite movies (Flying daggers, it's extremly beautiful, each frame is like a perfect photo) and of course - just look at him! - she loves Henrik! I just loooved to shoot their wedding portraits yesterday and the cake was the best chocolate cake ever! The wedding team at Såstaholm definitetly knows how to make their guests (and me) happy !

Jennie & Robert - summer wedding at Blidö

Jennie and Roberg couldn't have chosen a better day for their wedding as it turned out to be a beautiful warm summer day with a clear bly sky, and I spent the day with them at Blidö. They are a fantastic couple and it felt as if it was yesterday I met them even though we hadn't seen each other since they booked me over a year ago. Wedding at Skebo Herrgård

Clouds were hiding the sun and rain poured down as I and my assistant drove to Skebo Herrgård yesterday. But as we got closer I think someone used the magic wand and about an hour before the wedding it stopped raining, the clouds scattered and everyone got busy making preparations for the ceremony which, after all, could take place under the blossoming apple trees in the garden. The magic continued and when I left the newly weds hours later I am sure they kept on having a great time!

I think a couple like Elin and Oscar is every wedding photographer's dream because they don't just look good and wanted to share their love for each other in front of the camera but are also truly interested in photography and getting great photos. So, yesterday we went for an early photo shoot at 11 am before I had to leave for another wedding (photos will come!) and here are my favourites. I say to my couples they will see "a few previews" on the blog the day after the wedding, but I always tend to overdo it and spend to much time right away and upload more than just two or three - especially when they look as good as these!

Today I will have a busy but great day shooting two super nice and super beautiful couples! How do I know...? Well, as usual I met with them before they booked me and even if that was a looong time ago I remember them very well and have looked forward to this day! Now I have to grab some breakfast and leave you with some awesome photos taken three days ago on a small beach near Stockholm - isn't Sandra just perfect?!
